Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls from customers, insurance companies, and motor clubs requesting towing or roadside assistance.
- Gather accurate information regarding vehicle location, condition, and service needed.
- Dispatch tow truck drivers to service calls using dispatch software (such as Towbook or similar systems).
- Monitor driver locations and job status to ensure timely service and efficient routing.
- Communicate with drivers regarding service details, updates, and customer instructions.
- Provide customers with estimated arrival times and service updates.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, dispatches, and completed jobs.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and documentation when required.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and work toward resolution.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, roadside assistance programs, and insurance companies when necessary.
- Ensure all dispatch and service records are properly documented and filed.
- Support general office duties and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous dispatch, call center, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in computer systems, data entry, and dispatch software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in towing, roadside assistance, logistics, or transportation industries.
- Knowledge of local roads and geography.
- Experience using Towbook or similar dispatch systems.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced office environment supporting towing and roadside operations.
- Frequent phone communication and computer-based dispatching.
