Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative, where you will play a vital role in coordinating transportation operations and delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will utilize transportation management systems, load boards, and data entry tools to optimize freight movement, manage schedules, and provide timely updates. Duties and Responsibilities
- Start daily operations as early as 5:30 AM to review and bid on available loads from multiple load boards.
- Coordinate driver dispatching, including assigning loads, monitoring driver progress, and resolving logistical issues in real time.
- Maintain company systems and ELD controls to ensure compliance, proper driver logging, and overall fleet safety.
- Communicate with freight brokers via email and dispatch platforms, including uploading and downloading load confirmations, rate confirmations, and other required paperwork.
- Ensure that invoices are submitted promptly with complete and accurate supporting documents to avoid payment delays.
- Monitor and track accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure all transactions and broker payments remain up to date.
- Track fleet movements using GPS and dispatch systems to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries.
- Enter and maintain accurate operational data within transportation management systems and internal tracking tools.
- Assist with shipping and receiving coordination, freight documentation, and logistics scheduling.
- Provide professional customer service support, responding to inquiries, providing shipment updates, and resolving operational concerns.
Qualifications
- Experience with at least 2 years of transportation management systems, dispatch platforms, or load boards is highly preferred.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills to interpret route data, dispatch schedules, and logistics reports.
- Knowledge of freight operations, fleet management, shipping and receiving, and 3PL operations.
- Excellent communication skills with professional email and phone etiquette.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ELD systems, fleet safety compliance, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
