Fourteenth Avenue Cartage Co., Inc located in Dearborn, MI is a very established family-owned trucking company who has been in operations for over 100 years.

We service the automotive industry and other key customers utilizing dry van trailers, flat beds, and chassis.

We are seeking to hire a dedicated individual to continue our growth & success.

Position Duties:

• Assigning loads to drivers and ensuring equipment matches cargo needs.
• Communicating with drivers- Acting as the primary contact to relay pick-up/drop-off details, weather updates, and route changes.
• Route Optimization - Planning efficient paths to save fuel, avoid traffic, and meet deadlines.
• Document Management- Handling bills of Lading and other paperwork, and ensuring compliance documentation is accurate’
• Problem Solving- Handling emergency situations, such as breakdowns, by arranging repairs or alternative transport.
• Compliance Monitoring- Monitoring driver hours-of-service (HOS) to ensure adherence to safety regulations and prevent fatigue.
• General office duties & communication between departments as needed.
• Load Planning
• Ensuring all customers needs are met, with 100% satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Must be dependable to arrive and start at required start time.
• Candidate must have exceptional communication skills.
• Candidate must detail oriented.
• Must possess the ability to multitask.
• Candidate must be proficient with Technology - Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and general office programs.

Prior Experience in trucking operations field preferred but not required- we will trailer the right individual!

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
