Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatching activities by assigning freight loads to drivers using transportation management systems such as LoadStop.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Book loads for the company through DAT, Highway and other platforms.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Enter and update transportation data accurately in systems like LoadStop, and other logistics platforms to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage shipping & receiving schedules, monitor fleet management systems, and oversee freight documentation for compliance and efficiency.
• Assist with transportation planning by analyzing logistics data to improve routing strategies and reduce transit times.
• Handle inquiries related to 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), freight status, and supply chain issues with clarity and professionalism.Experience
• Prior experience in dispatching within transportation management or logistics environments is highly preferred.
• Strong familiarity with GIS, GPS technology, transportation planning, and supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated proficiency with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Excellent analysis skills for interpreting logistics data to optimize fleet utilization and delivery schedules.
• Proven ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with shipping & receiving processes, freight documentation, and fleet management is advantageous.
