Job Summary
We are a fast-paced towing company seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Operations Assistant to join our team. This role is critical to daily operations and requires strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and provide professional customer service
- Accurately enter service calls into dispatch software
- Dispatch drivers based on location, availability, truck type, and job requirements
- Monitor job progress and adjust dispatching as needed
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient service
- Perform general office and clerical duties
- Learn and manage multiple online portals for submitting required information to agencies
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is accurate and completed properly
- Assist with day-to-day operations as needed
Qualifications
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to think quickly and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred (but not required)
- Previous dispatching or logistics experience
- Experience in towing, transportation, or similar industries
- Familiarity with office administrative tasks
