Dispatcher CDL required

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing drivers and routes safely and efficiently while adhering to all transportation regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage logistics effectively. The CDL Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring scheduling and maintaining driver compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all routes and scheduling of buses.
• Counsels and coach drivers.
• Handles heavy phone and radio traffic.
• Utilize GPS and GIS systems for efficient route planning.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise.
• Manage transportation planning and logistics to optimize routes.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
• Scheduling of drivers and bus maintenance
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as DriveWare to schedule and maintain drivers and vehicles

Skills

• 3-5 years experience in dispatching.
• CDL Required
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems and logistics principles.
• Excellent analysis skills to assess transportation needs and improve efficiency.
• Experience with dispatching operations within the transportation bus industry.
• Effective phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and team members.
• Strong typing skills for accurate data entry in various systems.
• Familiarity with fleet management practices to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Computer literate.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
