Dispatcher / Dispatch Coordinator- Crane & Rigging
PSC Crane & Rigging | Plain City, OH
PSC Crane & Rigging is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to support the daily scheduling and coordination of crane, rigging, and specialized hauling operations. This role helps coordinate operators, drivers, cranes, trucks, trailers, rigging equipment, tools, and other PSC resources needed to support customer jobs and project schedules.
This is not a traditional LTL, freight brokerage, or terminal dispatch position. This role supports jobsite-based operations where schedules, equipment needs, crew availability, customer priorities, permitting, maintenance status, and field conditions can change throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating people, equipment, tools, schedules, and jobsite needs in a fast-paced operational environment.
What You’ll Do
- Schedule and dispatch crews, drivers, equipment, tools, and other PSC assets assigned to the business unit.
- Review work orders and coordinate details related to job scope, timing, location, manpower, equipment, and tool needs.
- Communicate schedule updates, resource availability, jobsite needs, and changes to project management, operations, maintenance, tool crib, and field personnel.
- Maintain accurate dispatching software updates related to workload, schedules, asset availability, and equipment status.
- Coordinate with maintenance regarding out-of-service equipment, repair status, inspections, certifications, and return-to-service timing.
- Help resolve field, customer, equipment, tool, permitting, or changing asset needs as they arise.
- Apply for and confirm permits for typical permitted loads through ODOT.
- Support safe, efficient, and cost-effective utilization of PSC equipment and resources.
- Represent PSC professionally while supporting the company’s safety culture, values, and customer expectations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
