Dispatch Office Assistant – Appliance Repair Company
Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and organized Dispatch Office Assistant to join our appliance repair company. This position plays a key role in coordinating technician schedules, assisting customers, and supporting daily office operations to ensure efficient and timely service calls.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced service environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and schedule appliance repair appointments
- Dispatch technicians to service calls based on location, availability, and priority
- Communicate with technicians throughout the day regarding schedules, parts, and customer updates
- Provide customers with appointment confirmations, arrival windows, and service updates
- Maintain accurate customer records, invoices, and work orders
- Assist with data entry, filing, and general office administration
- Monitor daily schedules to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve scheduling issues professionally
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and parts orders when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or office administration preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Ability to stay organized and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Preferred Experience
- Experience in appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, or home service industries is a plus
- Familiarity with dispatching field technicians
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Work Schedule
- Full-time / Part-time positions available
- Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday availability
