The Scheduler/Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and supporting traffic control operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely crew assignments. This role serves as a central point of communication between field crews, contractors, and management while maintaining accurate scheduling and operational records.
Key Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate traffic control crews for field operations from Sunday through Saturday

Dispatch and coordinate crews for emergency service calls as they arise

Serve as a primary support resource for traffic control flaggers and fellow dispatchers

Provide geographical location support, including map reading and detailed driving or site instructions to contractors and field personnel

Support fieldworkers by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and delegating matters appropriately

Forward new business inquiries to the Business Manager in a timely manner

Receive, process, and manage incoming contractor phone calls, text messages, and emails

Dispatch, track, and schedule traffic control services accurately

Enter, update, and maintain detailed records in the company’s operational software platform

Assist field supervisors with unanticipated delays, schedule changes, or operational challenges

Maintain clear communication with contractors and field workers regarding schedules and job status
-
Establish and maintain contractor satisfaction follow-up and call-back procedures, providing updates to management as needed

Perform general administrative duties including data entry, typing, copying, filing, note-taking, and record keeping

Education
