Dispatcher - Trucking

Job Description:

What will you do!?

• Coordinate the schedules and routes of truck drivers
• Arrange for the pickup and delivery of freight, considering customer time frames
• Act as the liaison between drivers and vendors
• Ensure dispatched drivers are compliant with route requirements
• Record and maintain all relevant data, including driver's hours, delivery locations, freight information, etc.
• Intake customer complaints and inquiries
• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls
• Resolve or report issues in a timely and professional manner
• Keep customers informed of delivery dates and times, and communicate with drivers to troubleshoot delays
• Use various software to bill operations, track containers, and complete other daily activities
• Log calls, review driver logs, and keep records of freight, routes, etc.
• Other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

What Skills do you need!?

• At least 3 years Dispatch experience in Trucking
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing trucking operations
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed

Wage Range: 44000.00 - 55000.00 per year
