Dispatcher/Driver

Best Rides LLC is looking for a Dispatcher that's preferably bilingual (English/Spanish) for a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation service. Dispatchers ensure that our Drivers are arriving on time to pick up clients for their appointments. Dispatcher communicate with clients and drivers throughout the day. A Dispatcher also schedules drivers for clients' rides by accepting trips from Transdev. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs.

A Dispatchers is also expected to be a Driver when needed. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicles and gas.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and manage trips
• Schedule Drivers for trips for the following day
• Accept Trips from Transdev including Hospital Discharges
• Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
• Assist some clients with their walkers and wheelchairs
• Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
• Report any issues with vehicles in order to keep a safe ride

Skills

• Excellent Communication Skills
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
