Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher/Fleet Manager to coordinate transportation and logistics operations with our current external and internal customers along with overseeing the operation and maintenance activities associated with are fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of dispatch and operational experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, ability to effectively manage drivers, proficiency in data entry and scheduling, and knowledge of the operation and maintenance of fleet vehicles The Dispatcher will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries to customers and internal projects, optimizing fleet utilization, and maintaining seamless communication between drivers, clients, and internal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage drivers to adhere to DOT requirements and Company policies.
  • Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure efficient transportation planning.
  • Monitor fleet management activities to optimize vehicle utilization and maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and various department managers.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of fleet vehicles with Equipment Manager and maintenance facility
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements within logistics and supply chain workflows.
  • Oversee and manage activities when utilizing rental trucks for internal projects and customer sales.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning principles.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to truck movement and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and managing multi-line phone systems effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and external partners professionally.
  • Knowledge of freight regulations, shipping documentation, and transportation compliance standards is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic Knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements of fleet equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
