Dispatcher/Freight Broker

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation solutions. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of supply chain logistics.

Duties

• Establish and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage shipments, track deliveries, and optimize routes.
• Analyze shipping data and trends to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate dispatching activities, ensuring that all shipments are scheduled accurately and timely.
• Manage the logistics of shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and compliance with regulations.
• Leverage GPS technology to monitor shipment progress and provide updates to clients.
• Collaborate with Trucking Companies providers to enhance service offerings and streamline operations.
• Utilize GIS tools for route planning and analysis to improve transportation efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in dispatching operations is beneficial.
• Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions regarding shipping logistics.
• Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) for tracking and managing shipments.
• Ability to use a computer and email effectively.
