Job description

We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher. You will receive requests, dispatch and receive vehicles. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and receive vehicles
• Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
• Communicate with auto auctions and private dealers
• Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
• Monitor the route and status of vehicles and prioritize their schedule
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information
• Receive, organize, scan, save and send out vehicle titles and related documentation
• Complete other task assigned by the manager

Skills

• Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
• Attention to Detail – Paying attention to the details and making a conscious effort to understand causes instead of just the effects, and doing so without effort, in a second nature type of way.
• Interpersonal skills – Interaction with clients and staff appropriately, depending on situation, culture and position, and ability to get along with others while getting the job done effectively.
• Data Entry – Using various computer and online programs to enter new data and update current data sets to reflect changes in day-to-day operational changes.
• Active Learning- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making.
• Active Listening -Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
• Specifically, this position will be responsible for receiving, organizing and processing vehicle titles by communicating with auto auctions and CargoLoop LLC shipping terminals.

Qualifications

• Strong logistics and dispatching skills
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette
• Proficiency in typing and data entry
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain processes
• Experience with GIS and GPS technologies
• Knowledge of freight operations and fleet management
• Understanding of Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 systems

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
