Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager to oversee transportation coordination and logistics operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing dispatch activities, optimizing freight movements, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to analyze and improve dispatch processes. The Dispatch Manager will play a critical role in maintaining efficient fleet management and supporting supply chain operations across multiple platforms.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems.
- Utilize GIS and GPS tools to plan optimal routes, monitor vehicle locations, and improve transportation efficiency.
- Manage dispatching activities for freight, shipping & receiving, and fleet operations ensuring timely deliveries.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, vehicle tracking, and logistics documentation.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Use transportation planning expertise to develop strategies that enhance supply chain performance.
- Oversee shipping & receiving activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Manage fleet operations including vehicle maintenance schedules and compliance with transportation regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation management, logistics, or dispatching roles.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to freight movements and supply chain performance.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and multi-line phone systems for effective communication.
- Ability to manage shipping & receiving processes efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills including phone etiquette for liaising with carriers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
