Position Summary

Ajoya is a Colorado recreational cannabis retailer. We are hiring a full-time Inventory Coordinator for our Lakewood store to keep our product accurate, compliant, and shelf-ready. This role owns inventory from intake through the sales floor: receiving and reconciling product against METRC and the point of sale, managing vendor relationships, placing orders and setting par levels, running counts and audits, and keeping internal records clean. You will work closely with the management team to protect company assets and pass every compliance check.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Reconciliation

  • Receive deliveries against manifests, verifying METRC tags, package IDs, weights, and counts on intake.
  • Reconcile physical inventory against METRC and Dutchie; investigate, document, and resolve variances.
  • Lead weekly inventory audits and perform daily or cycle counts to catch discrepancies early.
  • Process and document incoming and outgoing METRC transfers accurately.

Purchasing & Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, serving as a point of contact for orders, deliveries, pricing, and issue resolution.
  • Place product orders based on sales trends, current stock levels, and store needs.
  • Set, maintain, and adjust par levels as demand shifts to keep the right products in stock without overbuying.
  • Track vendor terms including pricing, minimums, fees, and credits, and flag opportunities to the management team.

Compliance & Product Handling

  • Package and label infused and plant material into proper containers with compliant, accurate, and consistent labeling per state regulations.
  • Maintain catalog and menu accuracy, including unit weights and flower-equivalent values, to support correct purchase-limit tracking.
  • Log waste and destruction per MED rules, and quarantine recalled, expired, or held product.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MED compliance regulations and manage inventory within all MED requirements.

Floor & Records

  • Stock the sales floor with the products needed for the day.
  • Keep internal forms, logs, and POS records current and accurate.
  • Support asset protection and loss prevention during counts and intake.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet daily and weekly goals.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Active Colorado MED badge required.
  • Prior dispensary experience and hands-on METRC experience required.
  • Dutchie proficiency.
  • Experience placing orders and working with vendors, with an understanding of par-based ordering and inventory planning.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Basic math and accurate data entry, with comfort working in spreadsheets.
  • Clear communicator who can lead and document inventory counts.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Available weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience in a high-volume dispensary or with vendor negotiations.
  • Background in health and wellness or the cannabis community.

Physical Requirements

  • General retail store environment.
  • Able to periodically lift 50+ pounds.
  • Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willing to work overtime when required.
