About the Role

Groovy Plants Ranch is seeking a Visual Display Designer & Merchandiser who specializes in the intersection of high-concept environmental design and high-performance retail. We aren't looking for someone to simply stock shelves; we need a "maker" who can build immersive, large-scale worlds that serve as functional shopping environments.

Inspired by the tactile, storied displays of brands like Anthropologie and the immersive scale of world-class botanical exhibits, you will be responsible for transforming our greenhouses into a series of "destinations." Your work must stop customers in their tracks while intuitively guiding them to pick up a plant and make it their own.

What You’ll Do

· Environmental Storytelling: Design and execute large-scale, 360-degree "shopable scenes."

· Strategic Merchandising: Balance "theatricality" with "sellability." You must ensure that even in the most elaborate display, the plants and hard goods are organized by price point, variety, and accessibility to ensure a seamless customer experience.

· Scale & Composition: Maximize the Ranch’s unique footprint. You will use vertical height, lighting, and found objects to create sightlines that draw customers through the entire facility.

· Durability & Safety: Design displays that can withstand high-traffic, heavy watering, and high-humidity environments. Every installation must be structurally sound and safe for public interaction.

· Product Integration: Collaborating with the team to highlight new arrivals, rare "collector" plants, and seasonal giftware within your designs.

Requirements

· Portfolio Required: Proven experience in visual merchandising, scenic design (theater/film), or themed attraction design.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic construction and rigging. Knowledge of painting/finishing techniques etc.

· Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and thrive in a greenhouse environment (variable temperatures).

· Experience: 3+ years in a professional creative fabrication or high-level retail display role.
