Disputes Associate 3-5 PQE Dubai

International disputes team in Dubai seeking a litigation associate to join a growing practice with a strong focus on construction and energy related disputes across the Middle East and beyond.

Working closely with senior colleagues in Dubai and across a wider international network, you will be involved in a mix of international arbitration and litigation. The work includes DIAC and other arbitration proceedings, alongside DIFC Court litigation and regional disputes work. Matters are often multi jurisdictional, acting for contractors, joint ventures, suppliers and commercial clients, as well as participants in the energy sector.

The team operates with a lean structure, allowing for early responsibility and direct involvement in matters. You will work across the full lifecycle of disputes, from initial strategy and filings through to hearings, enforcement and settlement. Alongside construction and energy disputes, there is broader exposure to commercial and contractual matters, with scope to gain experience in investigations and employment related disputes as part of a wider contentious practice.

Candidate profile
  • England & Wales, Australian or equivalent Commonwealth qualified
  • 3-5 years' PQE gained at a recognised international law firm
  • Ideally based in Dubai with at least two years' regional experience
  • Experience in international arbitration, ideally with exposure to DIFC Court litigation
  • Familiarity with onshore UAE litigation is advantageous
  • Exposure to construction or energy disputes would be beneficial
  • Strong academic background
  • Commercial, adaptable and comfortable operating across jurisdictions

This is a role ideally suited to someone already established in the Dubai market who is looking to deepen their experience across both arbitration and litigation within an international firm environment. That said, overseas applicants are also encouraged to apply if possessing high level, relevant experience.

A competitive, tax free salary package is on offer.

For more information, please send your CV and supporting details in confidence to or apply via this website. Only applicants who meet our client's requirements will be contacted.
