Distribution Driver -Supermarket

LTV Distribution Driver (Supermarkets) (only immediate joiners )

Overview Distribution drivers for supermarkets are responsible for transporting goods from distribution centers or warehouses to retail store locations. They play a critical role in the supply chain, ensuring that grocery products arrive safely, on time, and in excellent condition

Driving & Transportation:-

• Safely operate delivery vehicles (box trucks, rack trucks, or tractor-trailers) to transport grocery products to multiple store locations
• Follow assigned routes and maintain delivery schedules, adjusting for traffic or road conditions as needed
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs and ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for inspection
• Load trucks accurately and safely, organizing and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
• Unload products at store locations, often assisting with bringing items into the store or designated receiving areas
• Handle various product types including dry goods, refrigerated/frozen items, and perishables, ensuring proper temperature control
• Verify invoices and purchase orders to ensure accuracy of deliveries
• Obtain signatures or confirmation from store personnel to verify receipt of goods

Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred
