Mayco Colors is seeking to hire a full-time Distribution Manager to join the team at our Hilliard, OH facility. This position will oversee the supply chain management of our imports and exports while working alongside our logistics, warehouse, and distributor support teams to ensure customer needs are being met as product and orders are being delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee operations and activities of staff engaged in warehouse and logistics to ensure task completion and compliance with company, governmental, and OSHA regulations
• Collaborate with various departments to coordinate warehouse activities and integrate logistics with operational systems/processes such as production, sales, accounting, and more.
• Analyze all aspects of logistics to negotiate with carriers, insurance companies, and other vendors for the most cost-effective and efficient services and preferential rates
• Develop, recommend, and plan improvements to internal/external systems, processes, facility modification, space allocations or new equipment purchases
• Inspect physical conditions of the warehouse, vehicle, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, import/exports, and customer issues
• Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
• Monitor inventory levels of finished goods in the warehouse
• Establish and monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems
• Monitor product imports or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements
• Interview, select, train, and develop warehouse and logistics personnel
• Advise sales and distributor support on transportation charges for distributor accounts
• Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reports or customers transportation metrics
• Examine invoices and shipping manifest for conformity to tariff and customs regulations
• Review invoices, work orders, sales reports, and available-to-promise (ATP) reports to estimate peak performance periods, issue work assignments and evaluate staffing needs
• All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in logistics for wholesale distribution or retail supply chain
• Four or more years of experience in project management or a leadership position
• Experience shipping internationally
• Strong systems skills, including proficiency with integrated software applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education & Certifications

• B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations or another related field is preferred.
• Certification in Hazmat Shipping & Transportation required

Preferred Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with CRM platforms
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent project management/organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize
• High level of personal initiative, attention to detail, energy, and ownership
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams as well as interfacing with external customers
