The Malco Group is a HVACR manufacturing and distribution company. We are seeking a Distribution Manager for our Annandale, MN facility to oversee the logistics and transportation operations of the company, ensuring efficient delivery of goods to customers while coordinating with various departments.
What You’ll Do

Provide supervision over the Shipping and Receiving departments at Malco Tools. Ensure employee compliance with established policies, procedures, and objectives of the Company through L-10 meetings

Process sales orders that are ready to ship; ensure all shipping requirements for each order meets customer expectations.

Assess workload in all areas of warehouse operations and deploy personnel to optimize throughput.

Provide direction as needed to accomplish departmental objectives. Strongly encourage/promote teambuilding and teamwork.

Coordinate cross training of all Warehouse personnel.

Keep cycle counting and location audits on schedule and ensure their accuracy.

Maintain shipping schedules based on time of day vs. carrier’s pick-up time.

Organize the storage of raw material and finished goods to optimize workflow, efficiency, and security of inventory.

Enforce all company safety practices and policies.

Promote a sense of urgency throughout the department with high priority/special requests.

Assist Management with all aspects of new requirements placed on the department.

Manage warehouse personnel including providing training, offering feedback and conducting one-on-one meetings that review performance and opportunities.

Oversee and maintain the overall cleanliness of the work environment.

Implement and manage the warehouse management system improvements to support efficiency and growth initiatives.

Troubleshoot WMS software and provide on-site support/training for client warehouse employees;

Provide guidance or skilled at assisting in development and testing of WMS software features;

Develop warehouse software reports and system features;
Logistics Management:
-
Oversee domestic and international distribution process, ensuring that goods are delivered efficiently and effectively to the right location on time.

Experience with domestic and international shipments

Proven track record in freight claim filing and resolution

Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS, trucking companies, and import/export processes

Supplier Coordination: Liaise with domestic and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to on time delivery.

Data Analysis: Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements in the distribution process. Experience with Oracle is a strong preference.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies related to distribution and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, regulatory standards, and internal safety requirements.

Support preparation of reports (FIFRA, HazMat Compliance, Tier II).
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- At least 7 - 10 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Knowledge of EPA, DOT, and regulatory compliance reporting.
- Excellent organizational and technical writing skills.
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with ISO or other quality systems.

Oracle ERP experience within shipping/ receiving/operations

Hazmat understanding for shipping chemicals
Work Environment: Shipping and Receiving departments with fork trucks, warehouse management. May require lifting up to 25 lbs and flexible scheduling.
