Distribution Supervisor
(Monday-Friday 11am-7:30pm)
Job Responsibilities
The Supervisor oversees and delegates warehouse and distribution activities to meet established operational standards, while promoting and evaluating the development of department employees.
Essential Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Supervise distribution operations for a given work shift and functional area(s), ensuring all work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures to accomplish warehouse and organization mission

Has a good understanding of KPI’s and is able to utilize the data and drive optimum performance.

Focus on Operational Excellence
-
Oversee the daily performance of approximately 30-40 hourly associates, ensuring that established goals are met for efficiency, accuracy, and service levels
-
Foster a high level of engagement among the distribution team
-
Review and analyze both individual and area performance data to provide training, coaching, development, and written performance feedback
-
Conduct training of new hires and veteran associates when required
-
Ensure a cross-trained workforce is available for redeployment to alternate areas based on fluctuating business demands
-
Schedule and lead regular meetings such as the daily team huddles and monthly 1 to 1 meetings with direct reports

Assist in recruitment, promotion, retention and termination activities
-
Oversee daily activities of team leads and provide assistances when needed

Leverage systems, available data, and visual inspection to manage workload throughout the day
-
Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance, calling for repairs

Work with interdepartmental teams to continuously improve and standardize the flow of value to the customer.

Review and recommend department process improvements to ensure maximum level of performance

Address customer queries promptly and ensure customer satisfaction

Follow and uphold all OSHA guidelines, policies and safety regulations, inspecting the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment – reporting/documenting all incidents to management

Coordinate and prioritize special requests, ensuring that customer needs are met daily

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferable, in a related Business field or minimum 4 years’ experience in an operations setting

At least 2 years of supervisory experience

Warehouse Management System software
-
General PC and MS Office Applications
-
Flexibility of schedule
-
Ability to plan, multi-task, and use different organizational behaviors to manage time effectively

Advanced communication and leadership skills

For U.S. Candidates
Compensation Range
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $48,000 to $68,000 annually. This represents the good-faith estimate of the compensation range at the time of posting.
