District Manager – Nothing Bundt Cakes

Location: East Greenwich, RI (with travel across RI & CT)
Market Coverage: Providence, RI to New Haven, CT
Reports To: Director of Operations / Ownership Group
Portfolio Size: 4–7 Bakeries (existing + new construction)

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven, people-focused District Manager to lead the growth of our Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries in Rhode Island and Connecticut. This role is ideal for a proven multi-unit leader who excels at driving sales, building strong management teams, and thriving in a development-stage environment with new store openings and expanding markets.

Based in or near East Greenwich, Rhode Island, this position will oversee bakeries primarily in the Providence market, with growth extending west toward the New Haven, Connecticut area.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & Business Growth

  • Own district-level sales performance, identifying opportunities to grow revenue across all bakeries
  • Coach Bakery Managers on sales-driving behaviors including:
  • Catering and bulk order growth
  • Local store marketing and community outreach
  • In-store execution, upselling, and guest engagement
  • Partner with ownership and marketing resources to implement local sales initiatives and promotional strategies
  • Analyze sales trends and KPIs, turning insights into clear action plans at the bakery level
  • Support new bakery openings to ensure strong sales ramp-up and market penetration

Talent Acquisition & Manager Development

  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of high-performing Bakery Managers
  • Build a strong bench of future leaders through coaching, development, and succession planning
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold managers accountable to results
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Address performance issues promptly while recognizing and retaining top talent

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations of 4–7 bakeries, ensuring consistency in brand standards, food safety, and guest experience
  • Support and lead new store openings, including staffing, training, and post-opening stabilization
  • Monitor labor, controllable expenses, and operational efficiencies while supporting sales growth
  • Conduct regular bakery visits, audits, and performance reviews with actionable follow-up
  • Serve as a visible leader and culture carrier across the district

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of multi-unit management experience in QSR, fast-casual, bakery, or retail food operations
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth across multiple locations
  • Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain strong managers
  • Experience with new store openings or growth markets strongly preferred
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a hands-on leadership style
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Rhode Island and Connecticut
  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
