Rockfon is seeking a District Sales Manager, New York City , to join our dynamic sales organization. The territory for this role includes: Central and Northern NJ and the NYC Metro including CT. The ideal candidate will be based in the greater NYC area. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and has no direct reports.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will execute Rockfon market strategies, both short and long term, while working directly with contractors, distributors and architects, selling and specifying Rockfon products. You will support contractors (45%), distributors (35%), architects (10%) and administrative (10%) and will present trainings and AIA presentations to architects, designers, end users and distributors. You are responsible for account management including merchandising, updating binders, installing and maintaining displays and ensuring good price points.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business or a relevant field
  • Strong relationships with contractors and distributors a MUST and secondarily, architects and designers
  • 5+ years experience in commercial sales within interior building materials a MUST . Experience with acoustics or ceilings a plus
  • Effectively manages business plans on CRM, keeping information current on sales activities, ongoing strategy for sales development, and results for all target accounts, and new business opportunities
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Skilled at building and maintaining high level relationships and networks
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CRM experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions. This position is bonus eligible.
