District Technology Support Specialist

Position Summary
The Technology Support Specialist provides on-site technical support for computer systems, network infrastructure, and instructional technology across the district. This role ensures seamless access to technology for staff and students while promoting effective integration into the classroom.

Salary Range
$50,000 – $55,000 annually (based on experience)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in technical support
• Experience with troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, and repairs
• Experience in an educational setting preferred

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, WAN)
• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and device management systems
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and mobile device management tools
• Ability to train and support adult learners
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Troubleshoot and repair devices (desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, iPads, printers, AV equipment)
• Install, configure, and deploy new technology
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of technology assets
• Deliver training and support instructional technology integration
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve issues
• Manage support requests through a ticketing system
• Assist with district technology planning and initiatives

Work Environment

• Frequent computer use; occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Travel between campuses as needed
• Occasional extended or irregular hours
