Division 10 Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Division 10 Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will lead the estimation process for Division 10 specialties, including specialties such as doors, hardware, specialties, and specialties related to interior finishes. Your expertise will ensure accurate project cost projections, competitive pricing, and effective bid submissions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects by leveraging your construction estimating skills and industry knowledge. You will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver precise estimates that support successful project execution.

Duties

• Prepare detailed Division 10 estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop accurate cost projections.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to compile and manage bid data efficiently.
• Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
• Engage in negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Analyze project contracts and scope changes to update estimates and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Assist in developing cost control strategies throughout the project lifecycle to stay within budget parameters.
• Collaborate with project management teams to review bid proposals, clarify scope details, and support contract negotiations.
• Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, correspondence, and revisions for future reference.

Skills

• Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential for accurate bid preparation.
• Strong knowledge of Division 10 specialties including doors, hardware, finishes, and related interior systems.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, management practices, and contract administration.
• Experience in cost control methods and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents effectively.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and vendors.
