Overview

The Division Order Analyst is responsible for the proper establishment and maintenance of division order records and the accuracy of the payment of oil and gas royalties as well as assisting with creating and maintaining ownership decks, processing ownership transfers, as well as handling owner inquiries and discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Sort/assemble/set up Division Order files.
  • Serve as a liaison with division order analysts, landmen, and owners.
  • Review and translate legal documents.
  • Assist in DOI preparation and problem resolution.
  • Research files, analyze wills and deeds to solve complicated estate, transfer, and ownership discrepancies.
  • Respond to owner inquiries and advise of requirements to allow for proper payment of their interest.
  • Update decks and issue transfer orders.
  • Track and monitor suspense accounts for escheat reporting and escrow.
  • Assist in the resolution of working and royalty owner inquiries by interacting with the Revenue and JIB accounting groups.
  • Work with others as part of a team to ensure efficient operations and enhanced productivity.
  • Research files to determine solution necessary to resolve title disputes and suspense items.
  • Obtain curative documentation as needed.
  • Review and return Division Orders and/or Transfer Orders.
  • Maintain and handle ownership changes through acquisitions and divestitures.

Education and Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of oil and gas land contracts and legal instruments
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in Division Orders and onshore oil and gas land administration, including mineral, royalty and acquisition related land experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations, and standard land and legal practices as it relates to accurate payment of revenues
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required, BOLO software experience is desirable
  • Able to complete complex tasks with limited supervision and established deadlines
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong comprehension, analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,244.25 - $62,917.81 per year
