We are a small law firm located in downtown Salem looking for an associate attorney with at least two years of family law experience, to represent clients in divorce, family court, DCF, and related proceedings. Most of your office work will be based in our Salem, MA office; also, court appearances are a routine part of the job. Our cases cover a substantial area of Massachusetts, so the position requires reliable transportation and a willingness to travel around Massachusetts for court appearances.

If you speak and write Spanish fluently, that is a plus, but it is not required. The most important traits that we are seeking in a new team member is that the person is nice, hard-working, assertive and tactful, and pays attention to detail.

Position Details and Requirements

The associate attorney will be responsible for court appearances, client communication, research and drafting court filings, creatively and ethically finding the best ways to navigate our clients’ cases, and anything else to further our mission of providing clients with the best possible representation. Your job will also include building and maintaining client relationships via setting and managing expectations, as well as addressing any client concerns with grace — we aren’t happy unless the client is delighted.

This is an opportunity to shape our firm’s future and impact the success of our clients in a tangible way.

To apply, please send a resume and writing sample to jobs [at] jbsimonslaw [dot] com, instead of using the indeed application process.
