Job Title: DME Sales Support/RCM Specialist

The Role
The Durable Medical Equipment Sales Support/RCM Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for DME sales representatives/distributors, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the order process, as well as complete and accurate order process. This role also serves as a lead supporting revenue cycle management (RCM) operations, leading offshore team agents, and assisting with client account performance. The position requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills to deliver high-quality service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for DME sales representatives/distributors, addressing inquiries, providing order status updates, and resolving issues with professionalism and patience.
- Lead and mentor a small team of offshore agents, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Support account management activities, including assisting with new sales representative/distributor onboarding and day-to-day RCM operations.
- Facilitate effective communication between sales representatives/distributors, providers, payers, and internal teams.
- Adhere to SLAs, such as turnaround times, customer satisfaction scores, etc.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and organizational policies.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving RCM issues, serving as a subject matter expert for the team.
- Participate in virtual meetings to build relationships and resolve issues.
- Support software implementation and process improvements for assigned accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management (facility and/or professional billing, insurance eligibility and prior authorization, and workflow optimization), specific to DME.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in patient services, healthcare billing, or account management, DME specific preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact confidently with sales representatives/distributors, providers, and internal staff.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, prepare reports, and draw actionable insights.
- Proficiency with healthcare billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings or training (if required).
- Commitment to compliance and confidentiality standards.
- Prior experience in a team lead or junior account manager role within healthcare, especially DME-related, preferred.
