We are looking for an experienced Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“DMLRO“) who will report to and provide support for the MLRO UAE in all financial crime and regulatory reporting-related activities.

What you’ll be doing

Demonstrating your knowledge of the fundamentals of regulations applicable to DIFC EMIs and navigating DFSA and DIFC Rules.

Overseeing compliance with DFSA regulations, managing AML/CTF frameworks, and implementing ongoing compliance monitoring through the Compliance Monitoring Plan; working closely with the MLRO to track all changes to these and spreading a culture of compliance across the business with training & support

Reviewing, investigating, and reporting suspicious activity; taking ownership of SAR requirements and client exit processes; using the GoAML platform for reporting these.

Addressing Law Enforcement Requests.

Monitoring UAE, EU, UK, and US sanctions regime changes; working confidently with senior management to provide up-to-date information for risk management and sanctions compliance and conducting assessments to measure potential risk impacts to 3S Money.

Undertaking special projects as needed or supporting the financial crime operations team on targeted risk issue remediation; taking ownership of specific tasks delegated by the MLRO or senior management.

Reviewing compliance onboarding practices and documentation, liaising with the business as required, and recommending improvements.

Providing monthly and ad-hoc reports to management.

Communicating compliance and risk management requirements to internal and external clients; addressing queries and concerns and assisting with the delivery of first and second line of defence training through classroom sessions, workshops, or informal Q&A sessions.

Acting as the point of contact for authorities in matters pertaining to Financial Crime in the absence of the MLRO.
About you, you have

Relevant professional qualifications from an internationally recognised body (e.g., ICA, ACAMS); a relevant bachelor's degree is advantageous.

Demonstrable experience within the financial industry with PSP/EMI/Fintech experience being a strong preference.

Have intimate and thorough knowledge of the DFSA regulatory environment, key financial crime regimes, including international sanctions regimes with an interest for sharing these through training and support of other business units.

Are a fast and strategic thinker, resourceful and deliver on time; with the ability to work independently as a leader in the Regulatory Compliance team.

Strong experience with record-keeping and decision-making.

Great written & verbal communication skills to share your knowledge across the business at all levels.
