Dock Installer, Lawn Care, General Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Dock Installer, Lawn Care, and General Maintenance professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing docks and related structures, maintaining lawns and landscapes, and performing a variety of general maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a wide range of tools and equipment, and contribute to the enhancement of residential or commercial properties through skilled craftsmanship and dedicated service.

Duties

• Install docks, boat lifts, and other waterfront structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery
• Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy turf.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, tree trimming, shrubbery care, and garden bed upkeep.
• Carry out general maintenance duties including repairing fences, hardscape features (like patios or walkways), irrigation systems, and outdoor lighting.
• Operate equipment safely during snow plowing operations in winter months to ensure clear pathways and access points.
• Assist with tree care services including trimming, removal, and stump grinding as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for construction projects or repairs around the property.
• Support horticultural practices by applying knowledge of plant health and soil conditions to promote thriving landscapes.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, excavators, and power tools.
• Strong lawn care expertise with a solid understanding of landscape maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with landscaping design principles and hardscape installation is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care practices, gardening techniques, snow plowing procedures, and general construction skills is highly desirable.
• Experience working with hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
