DOCS ON CALL Physician Part-Time

Job Summary:

The responsibility of this position is to provide medical care that is personal, continuous, cost-effective, and of high quality.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care to adults, pediatrics, and newborn patients in the outpatient setting that includes non-urgent, acute care and minor injuries.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories in the outpatient setting.
• Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering appropriate and resource efficient diagnostic tests. This includes interpreting some results and subsequent patient follow up and notification.
• Documents necessary medical information into the EMR in accordance with coding, billing, COPIC, and Primary Care Partners expectations.
• Performs therapeutic procedures such as: injections, suturing, wound and infection management, fracture care, and GYN procedures.
• Works with and directs clinical staff on triage and care management.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Abides by and promotes CDC vaccine schedule for both pediatric and adult populations.

Education Requirements:

Licensed physician in good standing.

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional medical office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines in addition to patient care services.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is both a sedentary and walking/standing role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to maneuver patients, bend or stand, and sit on a stool/chair as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
