Doctor's Assistant - Chiropractic

The ideal candidate leads a holistic health lifestyle; has had experience with EHR; basic knowledge of human anatomy, medical terminology, and some insurance terms. This candidate thrives on providing exceptional customer service and goes out of their way to support the doctors and their teammates throughout the day.

Duties

  • Conduct basic patient assessments, including gathering medical history and current symptoms
  • Support chiropractors during examinations and treatments by preparing equipment and assisting as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation using medical terminology and record patient information securely
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, and post-session care instructions to promote recovery
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and clinic areas for safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the team to manage appointment schedules, follow-up communications, and patient flow

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent patient service with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support clinical activities effectively
  • Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and communicate clearly with both patients and team
  • Prior experience or familiarity with intake procedures in healthcare settings is preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist in clinical tasks confidently
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinic maintenance
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

A typical day includes showing up on time, prepping for the patient load (approx 60-100 per day), opening the clinic areas, charting and managing patient flow, and closing the clinic. Standing for the majority of the day is typical. You must be quick on your feet, highly accurate, detail-oriented, smiling throughout your work, and be a calming presence to patients.

Good fits for this role include EMTs, CNAs, or Medical Assistants looking for a slower pace, better schedule, and dedicated lunch breaks! Other good fits include individuals from industry (baristas/waitresses/etc) who also come with basic medical knowledge and have an interest in holisitic health.

We work Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 6:00pm. Tuesdays we do see patients later in the day and may not arrive until 8:30 am. OFF Friday - Sunday.
