What We Look For

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Document Controller who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the documentation process within the Project & Development Services Department. This role involves ensuring that all project-related documents are organized, stored, and easily accessible, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. The Document Controller will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and documentation flow.


Responsibilities of the role:

Document Management:

  • Organizes and maintains project documentation, including contracts, specifications, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Implements and maintains a document control system to ensure efficient retrieval and tracking of documents.
  • Ensures that all documents are properly indexed, labeled, and archived according to company standards.

Quality Assurance:

  • Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness before distribution.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to documentation.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinates with project teams to gather and compile necessary documentation.
  • Facilitates the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely access to information.

Reporting:

  • Generates reports on document status, revisions, and project documentation metrics as required.
  • Assists in the preparation of project documentation for audits and reviews.

Training and Support:

  • Provides training and support to team members on document control procedures and systems.
  • Acts as a point of contact for document-related inquiries.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar role within project management or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of document control processes and software systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
