Documentary Editor

Responsibilities:

· Translating ideas into complete projects.

· Assemble and edit raw video footage using industry-standard software for a polished final film.

· Ensure the correct formatting and presentation forfinalized videos according to the required specifications

· Ensure all editing cuts, splices, changes and additions appear seamless and natural and help the story flow more effectively in the finished product.

· Evaluate edited footage to footage to ensure it meets the narrative agenda of the producer and director of the project.

· Able to manage multiple projects while also meeting project deadlines.

· Properly encode final deliverables for various platforms.

· Utilize graphic design and motion graphics skills to enhance video content when necessary.

· Experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic element.

Requirement:

· Prior experience in documentary filmmaking is required.

· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in post production

· Bachelors in Media Sciences.

· Proficiency in video editing software applications, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Davinci Resolve

· Solid understanding of video editing techniques, such as cutting, sequencing, transitions, color grading, and sound design.

· Knowledge of graphic design and motion graphics principles to enhance video content.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in video production and editing.

· Strong organisational skills to manage and archive video files effectively.

· Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with creative teams.

· Creativity and the ability to form a narrative story.

· Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and techniques in video production and editing.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to video production and editing.

· Should possess organisational skills.

Pay: Rs110,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
