Job Description: Documentation & Customs Clearance

Core Responsibilities

Prepare and manage shipping documents:

Bill of Lading (B/L)

Commercial Invoice

Packing List

Certificate of Origin

Handle customs clearance process:

Submit documents to Oman Customs system (Bayan)

Coordinate inspections and approvals

Ensure compliance with import/export laws

Coordinate with:

Freight forwarders

Transport teams

Port authorities

Clients

Track shipments:

Monitor clearance status

Resolve delays or issues

Calculate duties & taxes:

Verify HS codes

Estimate customs charges

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s in:

Logistics / Supply Chain / Business

Knowledge of:

Oman customs procedures

HS codes & tariffs

Experience with:

Bayan system (very important in Oman)

Skills:

Attention to detail

Communication

Basic Excel & documentation handling.
