Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dog Care Assistant / Pet Care Technician to support our professional pet care services. This role involves hands-on care for pets while following established care plans and maintaining excellent client trust. Prior experience in pet care is preferred, but not required—we provide structured training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet care services, including feeding, walking, exercise, and enrichment
• Administer medications and follow detailed care instructions
• Observe and report changes in pet behavior or health
• Respect client homes and maintain security and cleanliness
• Safely handle and transport pets when required
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Follow company policies, safety protocols, and animal handling standards

Qualifications

• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism
• Comfort working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail
• Physically able to perform job duties, including walking dogs in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Prior professional or personal experience in pet care
• Veterinary, shelter, or animal handling experience
• Pet CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
