Dog Daycare Attendant/Dog Walker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate dog daycare attendant/dog walker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs in our community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling, be comfortable working with various breeds, and possess excellent customer service skills. Your primary goal will be to ensure the well-being and happiness of the dogs while building trust with their owners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dog group play
• Front desk duty such as checking in and out and booking appointments
• Walk dogs of varying sizes and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
• Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to the owner promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the dogs during walks, including proper waste disposal.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and any observations made during walks.
• Assist with pet sitting duties as needed, providing care when owners are away.
• Handle multiple dogs at once while ensuring each receives individual attention and care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care.
• Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
• Veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
• Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
• Experience in pet grooming, kennel work, or equine care is beneficial but not mandatory.
