Playroom Attendant – Giving Tree K9 Club
As a Playroom Attendant at Giving Tree K9 club, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging with daycare dogs, ensuring their safety, cleanliness, and well-being in a structured playroom environment. You will also help maintain a clean and safe facility while creating a fun, enriching experience for every pup.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and manage group play with dogs of all sizes
- Learn and understand dog behavior and body language to keep play safe and positive
- Separate dogs when necessary and redirect inappropriate behavior
- Clean up after dogs, including waste, vomit, and other messes – this is a hands-on role
- Communicate clearly with team members and promptly report anything unusual or concerning
- Provide updates to staff about dog behavior and notable moments during playtime
- Take fun, high-quality daily photos of dogs to share updates with clients
- Help support pet care or front desk tasks when needed (training will be provided for feeding, playtime routines, and basic support duties)
What We’re Looking For
- A true dog lover with at least 1 year of experience in a dog daycare or similar setting (training can be provided if you don’t have prior experience)
- Comfortable working with large groups of dogs
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
- Energetic and alert – dogs may jump, pull, and wrap leashes around your legs
- Comfortable in a lively, noisy environment where barking and excitement are normal
- Punctual and reliable – showing up on time and ready to work is essential
- Flexible and willing to help where needed, including supporting both playroom pet care and occasional front desk duties (training will be provided)
- Willingness to learn on the job and follow safety and care protocols to maintain a professional environment
- A strong team player with initiative, a positive attitude, and a love for pets and people
- Schedule flexibility – shifts typically fall between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM
- Must be available to work one weekend day and major holidays as needed
- Good hand-eye coordination and no limiting physical conditions for this active role
- Before onboarding, the company will run a background check using Checkr.
