Dog Handler & Dog Walker (Full-Time)

Barks & Bones is a premium dog daycare and boarding facility in Cape Coral. Our focus is on high-quality care, structured play, enrichment, and creating a safe and positive environment for every dog in our care.

We are currently looking for a full-time Dog Handler & Dog Walker (32–40 hours per week) to join our team.

If you are reliable, energetic, and experienced with dogs, we would love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Supervising dogs in daycare playgroups
• Walking dogs and providing structured enrichment activities
• Monitoring dog behavior and ensuring safe interactions
• Cleaning kennels, play areas, and facility spaces
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Communicating with team members and supporting daily operations
• Providing excellent service to our dog parents

At Barks & Bones, the well-being of the dogs always comes first, closely followed by providing a great experience for their owners.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position (32–40 hours per week)
• 8-hour shifts including a paid 30-minute break
• Three-shift system between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM
• Must be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends and Holidays

• Experienced working with dogs (daycare, boarding, training, kennel, shelter, vet clinic, etc.)
• Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Honest, loyal, and team-oriented
• Physically active and able to work on your feet
• Flexible with scheduling
• Passionate about animal care and customer service
