Dogs True Dream is a structured, safety‑focused dog daycare and hiking program. We are looking for a reliable, calm, and professional dog handler to lead weekday group hikes and enrichment outings for our daycare dogs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys routine, outdoor work, and following clear protocols

Job Overview

As a Dog Hiker & Enrichment Handler, you will lead small group hikes, transport dogs safely, and support our team in maintaining a consistent, high‑quality experience for every dog in our care. This is a hands‑on, physical role that requires strong reliability, good judgment, and a calm presence around dogs.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured group hikes with 4–6 dogs

• Transport dogs safely using a company van or approved personal vehicle

• Follow established routines for pickups, drop‑offs, and trail flow

• Monitor dog behavior and maintain calm, controlled group dynamics

• Communicate clearly with the team through our internal system

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle, gear, and equipment

• Support enrichment activities during and after hikes

Qualifications

• Experience working with dogs (daycare, shelter, hiking, grooming, etc.)

• Strong reliability and punctuality

• Calm, steady presence around dogs

• Comfort with physical outdoor work in all weather

• Valid CA driver’s license + clean driving record

• Ability to lift 40 lbs

• Smartphone with data
