Dog Sitter

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, experienced Dog Sitter to provide in‑home care for one dog on a contract basis. This role averages up to 10 hours per week, typically 2 weeks per month, with the possibility of increasing to 4 weeks per month depending on scheduling needs. This position takes place inside the owner’s home. For safety and liability reasons, no children, pets, or additional individuals may accompany you while working.

About the Dog:

- Animal‑aggressive; cannot be around other pets

- Cannot be around children

- Requires a calm, confident handler with experience managing behavioral boundaries

- Medium‑energy, routine‑oriented, and thrives with consistent structure

Responsibilities

- Provide in‑home supervision and companionship

- Follow feeding, medication, and safety protocols

- Maintain a secure environment with no exposure to other animals or children

- Monitor behavior and report any concerns

- Optional (additional pay): nail trimming, bathing, or grooming services

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in veterinary care, grooming, or professional pet handling

- Ability to confidently manage a dog with animal aggression

- Strong communication and reliability

- Comfortable working independently in a private home

- Must be 18+ and legally able to work as an independent contractor

Schedule & Compensation:

- Contract position

- Up to 10 hours per week

- Typically 2 weeks per month, with potential for 4 weeks

- Additional compensation available for grooming‑related services (nail trims, bathing, etc.)

Work Environment Requirements:

- Work performed inside the owner’s home

- No guests, children, or pets may accompany you

- Must maintain confidentiality and respect for the home environment
