Responsibilities

• Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring safety at all times
• Provide attentive pet sitting that includes feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining daily routines
• Practice dog handling techniques to manage various temperaments and sizes confidently and safely
• Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization
• Restrain animals appropriately during grooming or veterinary visits, demonstrating animal handling expertise
• Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns or unusual signs to owners or veterinary professionals
• Maintain cleanliness of pet areas, including kennels and outdoor spaces, ensuring a hygienic environment for all animals

Experience

• Prior experience in pet sitting or dog walking is preferred but NOT required
• Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including animal restraint and pet grooming skills
• Experience with heavy lifting required for managing larger dogs or equipment related to pet care
• Customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns confidently
• Hands-on experience with kennel management or animal care facilities is advantageous
