Duties

• Provide engaging and safe walks for dogs of various sizes and temperaments, adhering to individual care instructions
• Observe and monitor dogs’ behavior during walks, ensuring proper animal handling and restraint techniques are applied
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, behaviors, and any concerns that arise during walks
• Assist with basic pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, or administering medication if required
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
• Support additional animal care duties including pet sitting, kennel management, or light veterinary assistance when needed
• Handle heavy lifting of pet supplies or equipment to facilitate daily operations

Skills

• Proven experience in dog training, handling, or pet sitting with a strong understanding of animal behavior
• Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable for understanding pet health needs
• Skilled in animal restraint techniques and general animal handling to ensure safety for pets and staff
• Knowledge of pet grooming, veterinary procedures, and kennel management practices
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout the day
• Familiarity with animal care standards including pet sitting, pet grooming, and kennel experience
