Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Dog Walker to join our pet care team. This role involves providing exceptional walking and companionship services for dogs of various breeds and sizes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong handling skills, and the ability to ensure safety and well-being during walks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with animal handling experience and a love for pets to make a positive impact on our clients’ furry friends.

Duties

• Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and well-behaved throughout the outing
• Monitor dogs’ behavior and provide appropriate handling, including animal restraint when necessary
• Assist with pet sitting duties, including feeding, administering medication, and providing companionship when required
• Perform basic pet care tasks such as grooming or cleaning up after animals during walks
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of pet supplies
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behavior and any concerns during walks
• Uphold safety protocols, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed for pet care activities
• Follow all company policies related to animal handling, veterinary care, and customer service

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dog training, pet sitting, or animal handling is highly desirable
• Experience working with animals in veterinary settings or kennels is a plus
• Strong animal restraint and handling skills to ensure safety during walks and interactions
• Ability to perform heavy lifting related to pet supplies or equipment
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
