Responsibilities

• Ensure proper animal handling and restraint techniques to keep pets comfortable and secure.
• Observe and assess each dog’s temperament, providing basic training reinforcement when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during walks.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s activities, behavior, and needs.
• Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, or administering medication if required.
• Support additional animal care duties including kennel cleaning or pet sitting as needed.

Skills

• Proven experience in dog handling, training, or pet care environments.
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus.
• Strong animal restraint and handling skills to ensure safety for pets and handlers.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies.
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners.
