In this dynamic role, you'll be the trusted companion for dogs during their daily walks, ensuring they get the exercise and socialization they need. Additionally, you'll provide bathing and grooming services that keep our furry friends looking and feeling their best. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors, engage with animals, and make a positive impact on pet owners’ lives every day.

Responsibilities

• Safely walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout each outing
• Handle animals with confidence using proper animal restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress
• Perform pet bathing and grooming tasks, including brushing, shampooing, drying, and trimming as needed
• Monitor dogs’ behavior during walks and grooming sessions, recognizing signs of distress or health issues
• Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and walking equipment to promote hygiene and safety
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and behaviors
• Assist with pet sitting duties when required, ensuring animals are cared for in a loving and responsible manner

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus
• Familiarity with animal restraint, pet grooming, and kennel procedures enhances your suitability for this role
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to manage larger dogs or equipment safely
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles adds valuable insight into animal health needs
• Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare with a positive attitude and energetic approach
