Dog Walker and Pack Walk Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Description:

We are a structured dog walking and training company specializing in pack walks, leash manners, and behavior-focused handling. This is not a casual dog walking job, we are looking for someone who is reliable, physically capable, and interested in learning proper dog handling skills.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced trainer, helping manage group walks, handling dogs safely, and reinforcing calm, structured behavior, as well as assisting with client pick-ups and drop-offs.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with daily pack walks (handling and walking multiple dogs at once)
• Help load/unload dogs safely into vehicles
• Maintain structure and calm behavior during walks
• Follow clear handling and training protocols
• Support pick-up and drop-off routes
• Communicate any behavioral or health concerns

What We’re Looking For:

• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Physically fit and comfortable walking several miles a day
• Confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Calm, assertive energy (not overly excitable with dogs)
• Willingness to learn and follow direction closely
• Clean driving record
• Vehicle with ample room to fit 5-7 dogs

This is NOT a good fit if you:

• Just “love dogs” but have no interest in structure or training
• Struggle with consistency, boundaries, or following instructions
• Are uncomfortable being firm or holding dogs accountable
• Are not 100% reliable

Schedule:

• Part-time (M-Th, 7 AM - 11 AM)
• Consistent weekly schedule

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
