Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they receive proper exercise and mental stimulation
• Must be able to drive long distances and be in the car for most of the day
• Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication, and engaging in playtime activities
• Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills
• Maintain clean and comfortable environments in clients’ homes or designated pet care areas
• Monitor pets’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns or veterinary needs to owners or supervisors
• Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming when needed
• Support pet owners by offering updates on their pets’ well-being during visits or walks
• Hours are from 9a-3p with occasional mornings, evenings and weekends.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet sitting, dog walking, or animal handling preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is highly advantageous
• Experience working with animals requiring special care or veterinary assistance is a plus
• Familiarity with animal restraint, kennel procedures, and heavy lifting for handling larger pets or equipment
• Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, equine experience, or animal care certifications are beneficial but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
