Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Job Summary

We are hiring for the midtown and downtown area only.

This is a contract position but will be between 1-30 hours per week. The more you want to work, the more money you make.

*Please be aware, this job requires a lot of walking in all weather temps and types. We care for pets whether it is 100 degrees or down pouring outside. We walk between 10-15k steps a day.

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION!!

CPR certification for animals is a plus!!

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive proper exercise and mental stimulation.
• Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication, and maintaining daily routines.
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills.
• Monitor pets’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns or veterinary needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of pet areas, grooming pets when needed to keep them comfortable and healthy.
• Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming.
• Support pet owners with updates on their animals’ status and ensure excellent customer service throughout interactions.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices.
• Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly valued.
• Ability to handle animals safely during walks, grooming, and restraint procedures.
• Familiarity with pet care routines including feeding, medication administration, and hygiene maintenance.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pet supplies or equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear updates to pet owners and team members.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a genuine love for animals and dedication to their well-being. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in active environments and are committed to delivering compassionate care to pets of all kinds.
• Responsible and independent, able to coordinate their own schedule when needed

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
